Initially, the company Samsung has introduced two versions of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 – with eight cores Exynos 5 Octa (model GT-I9500) own production and quad chip Snapdragon 600 (model GT-I9505) of Qualcomm. However, resource Anandtech has performed a detailed review of both the smartphone and the variations found very interesting thing – in normal mode graphics accelerator in the Exynos chip is clocked at 480 MHz, while the popular benchmarks (Quadrant, AnTuTu, GLBenchmark) it automatically overclocked to 532 MHz, gave him immediately increase by 11-13%. It is said that Samsung deliberately decided to put its own chip in the best light for browsers and potential buyers – they are all guided not just by words, but also on the benchmark results. In the same popular synthetic benchmarks has been elucidated yet another interesting thing. The frequency of the processor after the launch of these applications is automatically set to the maximum – and it concerned with Snapdragon smartphone versions 600 and Exynos 5 Octa.
Thus, it allows to achieve the best results in each test. Under normal circumstances, the processor before starting the test is always in quiet mode with low frequency and “accelerated” to the maximum only after clicking the start of testing.
