The company Vertu unveiled a smartphone running the Android operating system worth 5,000 euros. The device is called the Vertu Constellation and boasts a titanium body, covered with calf leather.
Constellation has a 4.3-inch display, protected by sapphire glass. The latter, according to the company, can withstand hit 200-gram steel ball falling from meter height. The screen resolution is 1280 × 720 pixels. In a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with a clock frequency of 1.7 GHz, 32 GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel camera module and NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device works on customized version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In the Vertu Constellation installed branded application Vertu Life and Vertu Certainty. The first allows you to buy tickets for the event queue status, and the second is a set of services to ensure the safety of the user and the encryption of communication channels.
According to Massimiliano Pogliani, head of Vertu, the novelty will be sold to a wider audience thanks to the new design of luxury gadgets. He noted that before the introduction on the market Constellation passed through the hands of the focus group participants from China and Russia. According to him, the smartphone has become less challenging, more relaxed appearance.
