At the last exhibition Photokina 2014 we were able to hold in your hands a novelty from Samsung NX1. Well, those who prefer a text format and want to know more details, welcome.
Sensor – Samsung NX1
Samsung NX1 – the world’s first SLR in which you installed the sensor BSI-CMOS format APS-C. The Matrix has a resolution of 28.2 megapixels with back-illuminated. This technology is good because at the same size matrix the effective area of the sub-pixel is greater than that of conventional CMOS. Sensitivity range of 100 to 25600 units ISO. If this is not enough, in advanced mode you can install ISO 51200. For image processing, the processor is responsible DRIMe V, which, according to the manufacturer, copes with noise reduction and it does not spoil the quality of your photos. In theory, it promises us a great photo quality in low light conditions. Like it or not, we will be able to tell when we get the camera for a full test.
Speed autofocus camera deserves a special praise. According to the manufacturer, the focusing speed is only 0.055 seconds. This was made possible thanks to a hybrid focusing system, which combines the advantages of phase and contrast methods. It contains 205 points and covers 90% of the frame. Due to this there was the ability to shoot at an impressive 15 frames per second, and AF Tracking.
Screen and viewfinder – Samsung NX1
Samsung has decided to keep up with competitors and, according to the latest trends, has equipped the camera turning SuperAMOLED-touch screen with a diagonal 3 “and a resolution of 720 x 480 pixels. Viewfinder, of course, covers 100% of the frame. Of features can be identified in a very short lag just 5ms and a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

On the body there are ports for microphone and headphone jacks, as well as HDMI, capable of transmitting uncompressed 8-bit 4K signal (4: 2: 0). All this plus the swivel screen, the presence of an electronic viewfinder and quality optics make it a great tool for the videographer.
First applied in-camera compression algorithm H.265. New codec provides the same visual quality as the current H.264 / AVC, at half the bit rate. This fact can not but rejoice, because, as a rule, 4k video weighs a lot, and therefore carry a “ton” of flash cards do not have to.
Ergonomics of the camera is very different from most. One gets the impression that Samsung engineers took SLR camera and just made it a little more compact. Comfortable rubberized tabs are on both the front and rear of the camera, which clearly will please fans of telephoto. Located on top of a monochrome secondary display and two-wheel mode selection cameras that are blocked from accidental rotation button. Flash and hot shoe is also in place. The case itself is made of magnesium alloy and has a dust and moisture protection. Lovers of outdoor filming will certainly appreciate such a bonus.
