Applications from the online store Chrome Web Store can be run on mobile devices running iOS and Android. As reported by The Next Web, currently, Google holds the corresponding experiments.
According to the publication, the Internet giant is developing a software development kit that allows software makers to produce “hybrid” applications running in an environment like desktop operating systems and mobile OS. The information was found in the GitHub repository project Mobile Chrome Apps, headed by one of the developers of Google. Of the discovered documents that Chrome App for desktop platforms – this is only the beginning.
Google developer kit will produce universal software for all popular systems. Their interface is, of course, should be adapted for each OS. Thereafter, such programs can be published in the online stores and Google Play App Store. The documentation claims to support Android 4.x, further technology will be compatible with iOS, as well as devices with Android 2.2 and 2.3.
App for Chrome Web Store can be created on the basis of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. At the same time they work in offline mode and outside the browser.
