CEO of Google Larry Page (Larry Page) shared the regular portion of the information about the success of the platform Android.
Thus, according to Larry Page, the number of daily activations of new devices are now more than 1.5 million as of September last year, reported 1.3 million daily activations. In total there are more than 900 million active devices based on Android. According to Page, this is a very good result, considering that the first Android-based smartphone was released less than 5 years ago.
It also reported that users of Google Play store more than 50 billion times downloaded application from it. Compared to September last year, the figure has doubled, while there were about 25 billion app downloads. Recall that in May of this year, the mark of 50 billion downloaded apps overcame a competing store Apple App Store. Google plans to bypass Apple on the number of applications downloaded at the end of this year or early 2014.
