Today officially complete the transaction between the companies Google and Lenovo sales division Motorola Mobility, which was first officially announced back in January of this year. The deal amounted to $ 2.91 billion. And she let go to Lenovo’s third place among manufacturers of smartphones, behind only Apple and Samsung.

Under the deal, Lenovo possession transferred Motorola brand and its entire lineup, including the Moto X, G Moto, Moto E, line Droid, as well as plans and projects for the development of other products under the brand name Motorola, among which are, for example, a smart – watch Moto 360.
Lenovo will not “kill” brand, which is directly related to the creation of the world’s first mobile phone and proven worldwide. Motorola will become a subsidiary of Lenovo, while the company’s headquarters will continue to be located in Chicago, United States, and 3,500 employees worldwide, had previously worked at Motorola, will be transferred to the state of Lenovo.
The current president of Motorola, Rick Osterloh, will retain his post, and the board of directors headed by Liu Jun, executive vice president of Mobile Business Group of Lenovo.
Together with the division Motorola Mobility, Google will part with more than 2,300 patents, while the remaining 21,000 are in Mountain View. At that Motorola will be able to use them in unlimited quantities and free.
Of the total $ 2.91 billion $ 1.41 billion will be paid on closing of the transaction, of which $ 660 million – in money, and $ 750 million – in the form of shares of Lenovo. The remaining $ 1.5 billion will be issued a promissory note with a maturity of three years.
The main question for us, whether in connection with the delivered products from Motorola in our country? So far, the official response from Lenovo directly to us could not be obtained, but in fact confirmed the information that the delivery will nevertheless. Most likely, it will focus primarily on models and Moto X Moto G, but Moto E and Moto MAXX (international version of Droid Turbo ) will have to wait. About Nexus 6 not yet known, but most likely it will also carry officially. Voprosto only when they start.
