Encouraged by the success Pocket Photo Printer Pocket Photo (PD223) , LG is prepared to release a second version of the device – Pocket Photo 2 (PD239). Demonstration of new items will be held as part of the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2014.
The new model was smaller, but better performance compared to the Pocket Photo PD223. Thus, the thickness of the device is 20 mm – 4 mm smaller than the previous solutions. Despite its compact size, the printer is capable of printing up to 30 images on a single charge (15 prints of the predecessor). Print resolution is 600 dpi. Novelty is equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology and NFC. It can be used in conjunction with mobile devices running the operating system Android, iOS, and Windows 8 (probably a mistake in the announcement, and was meant OS Windows Phone 8). With the application for the printer, the user can edit photos, add them to the scope and effects, print QR-codes.
Portable Photo Printer LG Pocket Photo 2 (PD239) will go on sale in Korea in mid-January 2014. Unit price and the timing of its appearance in other markets are not reported.
