A group of researchers from the University of Washington (University of Washington) is currently busy creating a new programming language. With it, engineers can create artificial DNA molecules, which can then be embedded in human cells.
As the researchers note, using this programming language in the future it will be possible to create a specialized molecule. By implementing them in the human body, doctors will be able to deliver drugs to diseased organs or to identify disease and abnormal development. Also referred to the possibility of testing new drugs and therapies. Currently, however, the language is still at a very early stage of development and is not suitable for use in medical applications.
Developed based on the language of chemical equations can be created with the necessary rules for the DNA molecules – to program them. In theory, the language may allow the programming of the DNA molecule to monitor the activities of cells, similar to the simple computer.
