The new fifth-generation iPad tablet will have a Retina-display, created using the latest advanced technology. It is reported by the Taiwanese online resource DigiTimes. According to the data, which are derived from sources close to Apple, the novelty will be equipped with a Retina-display technology developed at the GF2, which saves time and cost of manufacturing the tablet.
Thanks to the GF2, the new iPad will be much thinner and lighter than previous models. Technology is that the liquid crystal display panel is composed of two layers of thin – film sensor electrodes and glass. Similar technology is already used in tablet PCs iPad mini. The source reports that supply panels for next-generation tablet from Apple will be the company TPK and GIS.
