Firefox OS usually mentioned together with Sailfish and Ubuntu Touch, but unlike those two systems, which have not yet shown themselves, Firefox OS is already a player in the market. This year started selling ZTE Open, and now ZTE is going to move forward with establishing their smartphones for Firefox OS more powerful hardware. While none of the first generation of smart phones can not be called the flagship, ZTE Open was almost the most budget solution – a processor with a frequency of 800 MHz, 256 MB of RAM and a 3.5-inch HVGA display. Now ZTE is not going to make budgetary toys – despite the fact that the new smartphone on Firefox OS not be able to boast an eight-processor or display with a resolution of 1080p, the next smartphone will definitely be more powerful. This may mean at least a dual-core processor and a larger display. Home sales should be expected sometime in the first half of 2014.
