3D-printer can output today in light of the object, which can be quite elaborate in form, but in general, these objects are still products exclusively made of plastic. Of course, if we are talking about some small products for the home or anything else outside of medicine and construction. But the situation may change with technology Voxel8, applied in printers and presented at the exhibition CES. It makes it much easier the process of mixing plastic materials, conductive ink and other electronic components, thus making possible the production of objects is very flexible in terms of setting their material properties. As a result, devices such as your own kvadrikopter can become a reality.

Special conductive inks and the right kind of printers already allow you to create simple parts with integrated electronics. The problem with current conductive ink, however, is that they are not that conductive and in actual practice. They are made using carbon particles that are mediocre conductors and the best they ultimately good for the limited capacity of simple parts of some items for which enough and low power consumption.

Voxel8 – a collection of specialists from the Harvard-based teacher Jennifer Lewis. A group of scientists design new employees inks that replace carbon very well conductive silver particles and are reported in as many as five thousand times more conductive, making it ideal for new material transfer higher capacities. So now, devices such as small electric motor, can get a new strength to his work.

Ink developed by special technology, so they can be applied to a thickness of 250 microns spout. They all become dry after five minutes at room temperature and firmly bind ICs TQFP. The idea is that these new inks allow users to easily combine with chips and other electronic components within their new 3D-printed objects, allowing you to increase the degree of freedom of design that is simply not possible with conventional production methods.

HP brings new 3D-technology in tablets and laptops

In their latest products Hewlett-Packard has experimented with a lot of three-dimensional images and augmented reality, and now some of these technologies is planned to move to the plates and laptop computers.

According to the manufacturer the PC on its mobile devices can handle three-dimensional images with their subsequent withdrawal of the 3D-printer. This feature is already supported by monoblock Sprout, and in the near future HP will a number of relevant mobile products.

“Our laptops and tablets will support the functions that carry augmented reality technology in real-world applications, – the general manager of the PC and HP printers Ron Coughlin. – Immersive developments appear in different segments, on devices of different sizes and in different usage models.”

Futuristic computer HP Sprout helps to imagine how would look desktops in a few years. With the help of three-dimensional camera Intel 3D RealSense monoblock Sprout scans the item, then the image is processed in a special touch panel Touch Mat, and the resulting object is displayed on the 3D-printer. In early January at the Consumer Electronics Show CES in Las Vegas, HP unveiled a new monitor “virtual reality» Zvr with a diagonal of 23.6 inches, the screen displays the three-dimensional projection. Images can be moved, scaled and rotated with the stylus, without touching the screen.

Developing Sprout and monitor Zvr, HP came out on the next turn of the spiral development of three-dimensional technology and its new products are closely related to the growing direction of 3D-printing.

“With Sprout and immersive technologies you create a virtual three-dimensional objects, and then turn them into real, printing out the 3D-printer” – said Coughlin.

The transition from Sprout to the plates will be carried out using the software Workspace, which allows to obtain shared access to three-dimensional images and perform various manipulations on them. Workspace layer is implemented on top of Windows 8.1.

“We want to build immersive environments in a wide range of products belonging to different price ranges – said Coughlin. – The ability to capture and modification of three-dimensional objects on the PC will be one of the driving forces behind the further development of our business, 3D-printing. “

HP intends to actively promote innovative solutions and after separation on the company’s HP Inc., which will deal with PCs and printers, and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, specializing in the supply of hardware and software for corporate clients.

TVs and displays to generate three-dimensional images have been around for many years, but the growth of their popularity prevents the need for special glasses. However, three-dimensional technology continues to improve. For example, the new tablet Dell Venue 8 7000, equipped with a 3D-camera Intel, able to measure the distance between objects. In Intel’s hope that in the future their 3D-camera can recognize objects and capture the mood of the people.

To make this interesting product features are: F50 is primarily compatible with the signals High Frame Rate, which is the same format used by HFR Peter Jackson for The Hobbit. You can then view the input sources to 120Hz. Another very significant, especially for the field of use, support for the standard HDBaseT, which allows you to send an audio signal-uncompressed video up to 100 meters, using a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable. There are also compatibility with 3D sources (via active glasses), a technology designed specifically for the reduction of motion blur and specific software tools for SimCAD.

The connections available include 2 DisplayPort 1.2, 1 DVI-D Dual Link, 1 HDMI 1.4a, 1 VGA, 2 3G-SDI, 1 10/100/1000 port for HDBaseT, 1 RJ45, 1 RS-232 port and a USB type A. F50 will be available for inspection at the Barco booth at I / ITSEC conference, to be held December 2 to 5 in Orlando, Florida.

With the arrival of the W5 series completes our range of TV Thomson. When compared to the higher end, the latter group of models is presented much more varied, with 4 cuts available in different variants. Sizes available include a 32″ , 40″, a 46″ and a 50″. Specifications vary considerably between the 32″ and the other models. Televisions from 40″ to 50″ LCD LED Edge are all, with one panel at Full HD resolution, a brightness of 400cd/m2 and 100Hz Clear Motion Index (motion compensation). The embedded processor is Ultra Pure Image, while the accessory functions are more or less those found on higher-end series, or the Smart TV platform, support for 3D sources (using active glasses: some sources report the presence on 40″ , but on the Italian site did not mention it, so it is good to consider not present), with 2D-3D conversion, the integrated Wi-Fi, DLNA support, USB file reading and recording programs by integrated tuners.

Vary, however, their tuners, according to this scheme:

  • 50FW5563W and 50FW5563: DVB-T
  • 50FW5565: DVB-T and DVB-S/DVB-S2
  • 46FW5563W and 46FW5563: DVB-T
  • 46FW5565: DVB-T and DVB-S/DVB-S2
  • 40FW5553W and 40FW5553: DVB-T
  • 40FW5555: DVB-T and DVB-S/DVB-S2

The difference between the models with suffix W and those who lack it consists rather in a simple cosmetic change: W indicates a frame edged in white, while the other models are completely blacks.

Visual2 For the 32″ are only two models, the 32HW5523W and 32HW5523. The panels are always Edge LED, but no more Full HD resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels. The brightness down to 300cd/m2, and also the processor is different, here represented by Pure Image 3. Disappear also the integrated Wi-Fi, DLNA, 3D and Smart TV.

Indicative prices amounted to € 899 for the 50″, € 699 for 46″, € 499 for the 40″ and 349 € for the 32″. They are not known versions with the costs of DVB-S/DVB-S2.

Accessory, or rather, his worn piece weighs only 320 grams and it provides the equivalent of 750-inch viewing screen in 3D, at a distance of 20 meters of built-resolution OLED-panels of 1280×720 pixels. Communication with the PC and PlayStation 3 via HDMI, it uses a special complete module (three inputs HDMI, one through output is HDMI, a single input MHL / HDMI). In addition, there is a module for wireless content delivery (Wireless HD), and it has a built-in battery that can recharge the smartphone.
