Wacom has announced a new line of tablets Cintiq Companion for working with graphics applications, which includes a 13.3 “model Cintiq Companion and Cintiq Companion Hybrid. Touch screen resolution of both models is Full HD – 1920 × 1080 pixels.
Complete with a digital pen tablet is provided with 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity. New products are designed, first and foremost, for designers, illustrators and animators.
Cintiq Companion is based on the third generation of the processor i7-3517U Ivy Bridge graphics accelerator with Intel HD Graphics 4000. The tablet will be available in two versions, one of which is running Windows 8, the second on the board there is a Windows 8 Pro. The base version has 8GB of RAM and a solid state drive capacity of 256 GB, while the second model is equipped with SSD-drive capacity of 512 GB.
Cintiq Companion Hybrid can be used as a traditional Cintiq interactive pen display when connected to a computer or as a tablet running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The list of characteristics Cintiq Companion Hybrid are processor NVIDIA Tegra 4, 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of flash memory.
It should be added that the board Cintiq Companion and Cintiq Companion Hybrid adapters available wireless Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, front and main camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels and 8 megapixels, respectively, as well as a number of proprietary applications.
