Prior to the exhibition CES 2015 left quite a bit, but now our Polish colleagues from have reviewed quite interesting Xperia E4. Consider all the main features of this device, its pluses and minuses. And to share their own experiences.
Let’s start with the appearance. Appearance Xperia E4 is markedly different from all previous decisions of Sony. Something it is similar to a budget smartphone Nokia, and is somewhat reminiscent of smartphones HTC, but in any case it is best that we have ever seen from Sony in the budget segment. The battery in the device non-removable, and the back cover, made of cheap plastic solid, very similar to the cover Nokia Lumia 630, that is, the lid acts as the whole body of the smartphone. Relative to the display, the smartphone shows excellent results in its segment. As for the interface, it is similar to other solutions which are used in the Xperia Z4, Z4 Xperia Compact, and so on. e., in other words, you get the experience of operating system that is comparable to top-end devices. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 and, according to preliminary data, will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop in the second quarter of 2015. Among the few drawbacks is worth noting a huge number of branded applications, Sony, including a variety of services such as PlayStation, Xperia Lounge, TrackID, Sociallife. And this despite the fact that the device has only 8 GB of internal memory, of which the user can use only 3.8 GB, it will be enough for 4-5 HD-movies.
With respect to the filling, the “heart” of the smartphone will be a quad-core Mediatek MT6582 processor with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. Accelerator – Mali-400MP4, the same set of first generation Galaxy Note. Memory device of 1 GB, of which 800MB is available, and the user is only 200-300 MB. In Antutu shows decent smartphone 17,857 points, this is enough to view videos on YouTube, to “surf” the web pages, but in games like Real Racing 3, you may experience problems with smoothness.
Two chambers in the device, which is a plus for a budget device. Front Camera 5 megapixel rear, in turn, is 1.9 megapixels. Due to the fact that no E4 for mass sales, some noticeable problems in the software part. For example, in the dark you will notice a lot of noise in the daytime images do not have enough exposure, and as a result have a very dark picture.
In general, the camera does not even reach the average. It is strange that Sony, which has become popular due to the cameras, despite the budgetary system, not paying her enough attention.
Music lovers can please: smartphone has quite a pleasant sound in the headphones, the bass have not gone away, it does not cause rejection, but the sound of the external speaker raises questions: the bass is almost inaudible, and at maximum volume markedly excessive treble.
With regards to the battery, and then all is well. When scrolling through HD-video at the average level of brightness of the device is fully charged, has worked as much as 9 hours.
Note that the Lumia 535, which will be the main competitor devices, the figure is only 5 hours, most likely in the smartphone is built on a 2330mAh battery as its predecessor, Xperia E3.
